Bassinet Blankets

Bassinet blankets are specially designed for use in the bassinet. A bassinet, or cradle, usually has a standard size of 40 x 80 cm. The blankets from Jollein have a size of 75 x 100 cm. This extra width and length can be tucked in, ensuring that the blanket stays in place safely and tightly.

Cot Blankets

Cot blankets are tailored to the standard sizes of a cot. A normal cot is 60 x 120 cm. Cot blankets are just like bassinet blankets, but slightly larger. The cot baby blankets from Jollein have a size of 100 x 150 cm. You can therefore use the cot baby blankets for both a large cot and even a toddler bed.

Which fabric should I choose?

From warm summer days to cold winter nights, we have a blanket suited for every season! All our baby blankets have a TOG rating, which you can find in the description and on the packaging of the product.

Both cot and bed blankets are available in different fabrics and textures. Jollein has baby blankets made of 100% cotton, a blend of cotton and acrylic, and knitted blankets with a teddy knitting pattern (60% cotton and 40% acrylic). Each fabric and weave provides a different thickness and insulation value or TOG value.

To choose the right fabric, it is best to refer to the TOG value. Depending on the temperature of the environment and the other clothes your baby is wearing, you can determine what TOG value, and thus blanket, is best suited. The knitted blanket with a teddy pattern, for example, has a TOG value of 3.5, making it suitable for colder weather. The basic knit cotton crib blankets, on the other hand, have a TOG value of 1.0.

How big should a baby blanket be?

If you have a standard-sized bassinet, we recommend a blanket of 75 x 100 cm. For a standard-sized cot, a cot blanket should have a size of 100 x 150 cm.
